Check out this stunner of an engagement session! I’m so excited for you to finally see these. We started out Sarah and Jeff’s photo shoot in Lewisville at the local Starbucks sipping coffee, and we ended up in a fabulous field of yellow wildflowers. Not only was the day perfect (the weather was awesome) but Sarah and Jeff were truly amazing to work with. Those smiles are real, y’all! We were having so much fun, it hardly felt like work. I love the color from this session…especially when we brought out the paint! They were such troopers for this wacky idea, but I’m really glad they chose to trust me. These cuties are both artists, so I thought we could showcase the love they both have for art. The “paint fight” allowed me to capture some of my favorite images from the day because of the playful nature of the concept. I hope you guys had as much fun posing for me as I did shooting this sesh! Show Jeff and Sarah some love by letting them know how ADORABLE they look!

Sydney {Grapevine Senior Photographer}

Sydney is such a spunky girl, and was such a joy to capture during her historic downtown Grapevine senior session. Anyone who is brave enough to wear bright red lipstick…I’m a fan! Her cool retro style was just amazing. She completely rocked this session. Not only is she a stunning beauty, but her laughter is just contagious! We were able to snap a few pics of her family just as the session ended, and I’m so glad we did! Her parents are fixing to become empty nesters, and it was the perfect time to capture this time in their lives. Let me know what you think of Sydney and her amazing beauty!!

Katie & Brance {Lewisville Engagement Photographer}

Take a look at this gorgeous engagement session I shot in Lewisville at a little league field, a small forest, and a beautiful field of yellow wildflowers! Brance and Katie are such a cute couple to work with. Brance coaches baseball at TCU while Katie is a labor and delivery nurse. See? All American couple! Not only are they both super good looking (hotties!!), but they are so kind and such fun to be around. And check out Katie’s killer light blue eyes! These two are gonna make beautiful kiddos, that’s for sure. We really had an amazing time together because everything just went so well. No awkward camera faces, no crazy eyes…everything just fell into place. They were total naturals. Also, the locations fit them perfectly. Because they’re both athletes, the little league field gave us that fun, flirty “old-school” vibe we were looking for. And the wildflowers and trees provided a very natural yet rustic background that I could really get creative with. Let me know what you think of this stunning session! Backyard Minis {Lewisville Child Photographer}

This week, I took some images of my daughter in the set up for our next mini session day which will be held on Saturday, June 1 in the morning hours up in Lewisville. Vera is not ever allowed to jump on the bed, so when I told her she could, she almost freaked out! This is truly her idea of play! (Don’t worry…I told her she can only jump on the bed when it’s in the backyard….which is almost never). Investment is $170 plus tax and includes a twenty minute session, five digital negatives, and three mini- albums. Contact me for more info or to sign up!

Lyndi & Derek {Ballpark in Arlington Engagement Photographer}

Sweet love! Check out this sweet couple’s engagement session that I shot a few months back at the ballpark in Arlington! Being a serious Rangers fan, Derek wanted both of his loves to be captured in this perfect e-sesh. Lyndi, however, didn’t want to have a Rangers themed session, so I tried to make sure to give them a variety of looks, all taken in and around Ranger’s stadium! Lyndi is one of my very best friends from childhood, and I was bummed I couldn’t shoot the wedding because of our recent addition (baby Ike). However, I was able to attend the wedding this past weekend, and it was BEAUTIFUL! Everything was perfectly simple and light…and Lyndi looked amazing (of course). Lyndi – through thick and thin, youth group at Central, weekend slumber parties, singing Celine Dion at the top of our lungs, and laughing and crying through elementary school, jr, high, and high school, you will always be my dear friend. I am so glad that you found an amazing partner in Derek, and I wish you guys the very best life has to offer! You are loved!!

The Atchley Family {Lewisville Family and Senior Portrait Photographer}

Meet one of my favorite families ever…the Atchleys! Kim, a bestie of mine, talked to me about photographing her son James as well as a family sesh before baby Ike came since James is graduating this year. We ended up doing a combo senior/family session in historic downtown Lewisville. I absolutely love all the rustic backgrounds that we found as we roamed the sidewalks of downtown. I’m always able to find a little something that I haven’t seen before when I come down here! After James proved that he’s uber photogenic, we took some awesome family shots. One of the reasons I love this family so much is that they really know how to have fun! They didn’t dog any of my suggestions, and just let me do my thing…to show them as the fun-loving, joyful fam they are. I really loved this session so much! Jessie and Adam {Fort Worth Wedding Photographer}

I have been so excited to post Jessie and Adam’s amazing wedding that Dustin and I shot right before Christmas at Rose Hill Chapel in Fort Worth’s amazing Arts District. I love the retro feel of all the details! The theme was vintage airmail, and the colors and textures worked so well together to create such a fun vibe. And check out her awesome cobalt blue Baby Phat wedding shoes! What a perfect touch to her sweet tea length dress. Also, the birdcage veil added just a little touch of mystery to an already stunning bride. Jessie and Adam pulled together all these fun details and colors to create the perfect vintage vibe wedding. I’m just totally in love with how all these pictures turned out! Leave the bride and groom some comment love to tell them how precious they look!

Johnson Family {Coppell Family Photographer}

When I met the Johnson family at Coppell’s Grapevine Springs Park this past December, I knew this was going to be a great shoot! I had already worked with Craig and Leslie before, but meeting the entire clan was quite a treat. First of all, Craig’s parents were such a joy! They are one of the sweetest older couples I’ve ever had the privilege of shooting. They were up for anything, and even shared a few “lovey dovey” moments for me to capture. Looking at such a growing family made me think of how awesome the idea of family is! These two people, who were once young and in love have grown that love into a close-knit group of people they call family. God truly has blessed them! Elizabeth and Jackson {Richardson Engagement Photographer}

Check out Jackson and Elizabeth’s beautiful engagement session that I captured over Thanksgiving at this little park in Richardson! Don’t you just love the fall foliage? It really made the look of this session romantic and rustic. I also loved the location as well as the way their outfit choices complimented the colors already found in nature. Prairie Creek out in Richardson gave the perfect backdrop with a waterfall, rock enclosures, and a cute little wooden bridge. Because we’ve so busy editing and sending out Christmas cards, prints and canvases, I’ve been a little neglectful of the blog. No worries though…the blog is fixing to be full of all new posts! Here’s the first of many. If you’ve been following the blog for a while, the Conners are no strangers. I’ve been blessed to photograph their engagement, wedding, and extended family sessions. They are just adorable! This time, I had the opportunity of photographing Kelly’s growing belly. She’s due in February, and they can’t wait to welcome their sweet little boy. I love the color choices from this session. Everything was so light and bright and really made this session fun. Ellen and Tim {Downtown Fort Worth Engagement Photographer}

I’m so excited to share this beautifully sun-kissed downtown Fort Worth engagement session! Tim and Ellen are just about the cutest couple. It also helped the the lighting happened to be STELLAR that afternoon! We started at the Fort Worth Water Gardens, taking advantage of the fall foliage and beautiful orange, yellow, and red tones of the season. After shooting there for a while, we continued to some old church landmarks around downtown Fort Worth. I had such a hard time choosing which photos to showcase on the blog because there were too many I was crazy about. Tim and Ellen – I hope that you find some you love, and I can’t wait to shoot your June wedding!

Light Family {Searcy Family Photographer}

What a cute family session we had in rustic downtown Searcy! I was really digging the vibe of the Light family. What ADORABLE outfits for a family session…I’d call it understated coolness. Especially Mister E and his cute little plaid and stripe combo with that tweed vest–could he be any cuter? Mister E was just a ball of energy! Being blessed with my Vera Penelope, I’m used to that. This family session taken out on the back roads of McKinney is a must see! This sweet family of four met me out on a tree lined road on a cloudy day for their fabulous family portraits. Even on such a dreary day, the color scheme they choose for their photo shoot brightened the mood. The reds and teals especially set off the grey of the sky. Also, how cute is their little girlie?? Without too much explanation, I’m sure you can see that the wedding gown little miss E was wearing belongs to her mother. What a fun idea, and so much fun to capture! She was giddy with excitement the whole session because she got to be a princess in her momma’s wedding dress. And little mister A was just a smiler from the get go. The Brown Family {Frisco Family Photography}

OH goodness! You must take a look at this precious family session I shot in the rustic downtown Frisco area. There are so many hidden gems that we found…painted aluminum walls, rusted old buildings, and some greatly aged wooden fences served as the perfect backdrop for this late morning session. Frisco is now one of my new favorite spots to shoot! I just love the color tones the Browns chose for their family portraits. The jewel tones popped through my lens and produced a fun and colorful vibe to the pictures. I think some of my favorite pictures from the day are of the little one and her daddy. She was being so lovey and sweet, giving him lots of hugs and kisses. SO sweet! After searching for other great spots in downtown Frisco, we headed over to the Frisco Heritage Museum close to Babe’s Chicken. Fun finds there as well! The colors were perfect for their second outfit change. The really went well with the rustic vibe of the old railcars and If you didn’t already know, it’s illegal to take pictures on a railroad track (not to mention…SCARY)! Anyway, the Frisco Heritage Museum offers an awesome alternative. Rails that are perfect for posing on, and hold no danger to my precious clients are the best! The Orr Family {Grapevine Family and Maternity Photographer}

Thanks for stopping by the blog to check out this bright and colorful “cloudy till the sun came out” family photo session! We started out in a fun little nook in the historic downtown area of Grapevine. It was perfect for the look we were going for! Since the day before had been really rainy, I had the girls bring their pink and red rain boots. The fun, clear bubble umbrella came in handle as a unique prop for the little girls to hold while they laughed and were being silly. Check out how cute momma looks with her sweet little pregnant belly! We were so excited when the sun finally came out so that we could capture a totally different feel for the rest of the pictures. Daddies and Daughters {Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch}

Today was so fun and full of excitement, especially for our little one! Earlier this morning, I had a family shoot (which you can check out the sneak peek of on facebook). My dad graciously agreed to come out to our house to watch Vera for the morning. After indulging her in pumpkin waffles and Barney, Poppa read many of her favorite books…which she just loved. While Vera was napping, my Dad and I got to spend some time together while Scot was away at a work event. I was so glad for the company! After Scot got back later this afternoon, he had the idea to take Vera out to the Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch. Even though the sky was a little overcast, there was no rain, and you could feel fall in the air. Vera’s favorite part of the pumpkin patch was running around chasing after her dad telling him where the pumpkins were. Just so you know, at a pumpkin patch, there is no shortage of pumpkins to point at. What a gal! After remembering our engagement story (a camping trip with friends exactly six years ago), Scot was inspired to take us girls out on to a local nature trail. It was beautiful! Vera continued to chase around her dad, this time pointing at the flowers telling her daddy all about them. My favorite picture of the bunch is where Vera is tightly holding Scot’s hand…following him wherever he went. I guess the point of telling this is…no matter how old a girl gets, there’s always a special place in her heart set aside for her daddy.

Elizabeth and Jeremy {Highland Park Engagement Photographer}

I am so pleased to show this stunning engagement session set at the beautiful tree lined Lakeside in Highland Park. Elizabeth and Jeremy met at Abilene Christian University and are continuing to study in Abilene. It was such a cool crisp morning with just the right amount of sunshine for the best photo shoot imaginable. We had such perfect weather! I also loved the vintage quilt that Elizabeth brought to the session. These two were so cute, and I can’t wait for their January wedding at the Delaney Vineyards in Grapevine! Mini Sessions {Houston/Dallas Photographer}

On Saturday, November 3, in Houston, and on Saturday, November 10, in Dallas, Barefeet Photography will be offering a day of mini-sessions! Session length is 30 minutes and includes a disc of your favorite 15 images. The investment is $150, with the option of purchasing the entire disc of all images taken during your session for $200. These make great Christmas card images! Contact me to select your time slot and to get more information about the locations. Slots fill up pretty quickly!
