  • Hello…

    ...and welcome to my blog! My name is Taylor Jackson, and I've been shooting professionally for six years. If you're looking for a definition of my photography style, it could best be described as "vintage chic".

    Here you will see the recent goings on of me and my work. When I'm not catching the lives of others through my lens, I'm living life with my husband Scot and our sweet baby girl, Vera Penelope.

    We work in the Dallas/Fort Worth and surrounding areas and are available for travel. Stay as long as you like, and feel free to leave multitudes of comments!

I’m going to do one next summer, since my belly will be smaller & we’ll have the “whole” family:) Is it too early to reserve a spot for 2013? :)

Kalli and Josh {Decatur Georgia Engagement Photographer}

Yeah! So excited to finally post Kalli and Josh’s engagement session!! Kalli and I go way back. We were roommates in college about seven years ago at ACU. Josh and I don’t go way back, but I know Kalli loves him very much and have heard tons about him over the past few years. The way they acted throughout the whole session was just adorable. I loved how giddy they both seemed. Even at the rehearsal dinner, I kept hearing how perfect they were for each other. Kalli and Josh – I hope as you come back from your honeymoon, your engagement session pictures are a sweet surprise! I’m still working on that beautiful wedding of yours…trust me….get REALLY excited about those!!Atlanta Georgia vintage engagement photographywhat to wear for an engagement sessionnatural meets urban engagement sessiondowntown urban engagement sessionDallas area vintage style wedding and engagement photographerengagement session in a barvintage style engagement sessionbeautiful engagement session from Dallas photographerLewisville engagement photographerunique engagement sessionadorable park photos of an engaged couplevintage styled shoot of an engaged coupleperfect lighting for photos on a cloudy dayCute engagement session by Lewisville Photographerstunning engagement pictures by north dallas photographer Taylor Jacksonengagement photographer for the north Dallas area

Anne {Hope Arkansas Bridal Photographer}

First of all, Anne, you are stunning! Second of all, your dress is AMAZING! I met Anne, her mother, her grandmother, and her great aunt at the family home in Hope, Arkansas for a special after session. I had just had miss Vera P. when Anne’s dress became ready before her wedding, and I actually shot her wedding when Veers was seven weeks old. (Check out their engagement session here.) We have been trying to schedule this session for quite some time, and finally worked it out! Many of the women in Anne’s family have had their bridal portrait made in this home in front of this colored glass window. This home has a unique history. The living room was actually once a chapel (hence the stained glass window). The afternoon light poured in beautifully on Anne and made the session quiet perfect. Let me know what you think of this gorgeously lit bridal session! To Anne and her “entourage” – thank you for welcoming me into your home! You all were the greatest of hostesses, and Vera LOVED her sweet little outfit!Stunning indoor bridal portrait photographyEditorial style bridal photo sessionBeautifully backlit bridal portraitwedding and bridal portrait photographer for the North Dallas areaBeautiful bridal portraitsStunning bridal session in Hope ArkansasBarefeet Photography in Lewisville, Texas

Vera {Lewisville Child Photographer}

This is my little pumpkin pie. My sweet little angel face. My perfect little snuggler. She is the joy to my day, and she is Scot’s and my greatest accomplishment. This little sweetie is already thirteen months old! I can hardly believe it. She’s on the verge of walking and has the greatest sense of humor. I’m pretty sure she got that from her Dad. She’s full of words and completely in love with her lovey “Mr. Waddles,” a tiny stuffed penguin with huge blue eyes. We’re just loving life with our beautiful girl. This morning, Scot told me that he wasn’t sleeping well last night, so he got her out of her crib just to rock her and hold her. I’ve done that several times as well. Anyway, just thought I’d post a few little pics that I took several weeks ago to celebrate the warm weather. Laura and Pablo {Cleburne Wedding Photographer}

I’m so excited for you to see this beautiful couple! Tessa and I were able to shoot this wedding down in Cleburne a few weekends ago. I was so afraid that the weather wouldn’t be kind to us, but besides a little wind, it was perfect! A cuter couple would be pretty hard to find. You could just tell these kids were made to be together. They met through one of Laura’s bridesmaids (Lucy) who introduced them at church. What a great place to meet! The way Pablo was talking about Laura as we took his portraits before the wedding was SO sweet. And check out Laura…Jennifer Lopez look alike? I think so. She looked stunning in her bridal gown and was incredible for pictures. That girl knows how to work it! And the reception? Talk about fun. At one point, the groomsmen kidnapped Pablo and was holding him ransom for honeymoon money. Wish we had done that at our wedding! Be sure to leave some comment love for this pair of lovebirds. Laura and Pablo – it was such a great experience for us to be able to share in your joy.
